Bethany Coleman and her partner, Tyson, have already been caring for two cats aside from a rescue dog named Rogue. The couple didn’t have any intentions of taking in another animal – worried of the possible difficulties they might encounter in the future.

According to the couple, they cannot imagine how they could live as a family in one house – with two humans, two senior cats, a dog, and a new pet.

Despite their unwillingness to take in another pet in the family, the couple eventually gave in and gave another dog a home.

It all started when Bethany and Rogue visited the farmers’ market sometime in October 2016. Despite the attractive display of fresh fruits and vegetables, a dog caught both Bethany's and Rogue’s attention.

Bethany thought the dog looked exactly like Rogue! And they are roughly the same size as well! And based on Rogue’s expression that fateful day, it seems that Rogue felt some sort of connection with the stray dog – perhaps a long-lost twin or sibling?

Bethany was convinced that that dog was special, and immediately took the time to call her partner, Tyson, asking him to take in another rescue dog.

The 8-month-old puppy was soon adopted and is now lovingly called Beast. Both of their dogs are named after characters in the X-Men franchise.

Ever since Beast was adopted, people often asked the couple if both dogs are siblings. After all, they have the same coat and appearance. But of course, the couple couldn’t tell.

All they know is that both dogs treat each other like siblings – they care for each other, and just like most siblings – they also get into sibling quarrels. But most of the time, they get along, sometimes to the point of committing “crimes” together.

Right now, Beast has grown much larger than Rogue, but still, they are affectionate towards each other – almost like twins.
